What EduTek does well

  • Lower entry price. EduTek starts from $85/mo, below our list price.
  • Award research. “Search every 471 award and FRN by SPIN. See exactly who won what, where, for how much, and at what discount rate.”
  • Alerts as 470s are filed that match your profile, nationwide, with saved searches “by state, service category, and dollar threshold”.
  • Team tools. Pro adds a deal pipeline for a sales team; Elite adds unlimited users and a quarterly market report.

What erateradar adds

  • The last result in the row. Where USAC has a usable last request: bids the school reported, the provider it chose, the pre-discount cost and USAC status, each linked to its USAC record.
  • A radius, not states. 60 miles around your office, across state lines.
  • One list on Monday instead of a stream of alerts to sort.
  • The real signing date. The allowable contract date as USAC lists it, and bids closed by a passed mandatory site visit left out. Why that matters.

Questions

Is erateradar cheaper than EduTek?

No. EduTek’s pricing page lists Basic at “$850 per year or $85/mo, billed monthly”. erateradar is $149/mo per 60-mile territory, or $99/mo at the founding price for the first 20 customers. The difference buys the buyer’s last result on the open bids in your radius (where USAC has one), in one Monday list.

Does erateradar have award history like EduTek?

Only the buyer’s last request of the same kind, shown on each open bid that has one on file. There is no search of every award by SPIN. If you research competitors’ awards, EduTek does that.

Is EduTek priced per state?

Its pricing page says “Pick your tier, pick your states, and pay.” and its Basic plan lists “Nationwide 470 lead data — search by state when you need to focus.” The page does not say whether the price changes with the number of states.

Can I use both?

Yes. Both build on USAC’s public E-rate records. Some shops may want nationwide alerts from one and a weekly local list with last-time context from the other.

Can I see erateradar’s list before deciding?

Yes. Type your office ZIP at the top of this page to see the open bids near you, no account needed. The trial is 14 days and needs no card.
